Associate/Full Professor positions in Sustainability

Institution :

Created in 1907, ESSEC is a leading European business school, a French “Grande Ecole”, with four campuses: two campuses in the greater Paris metropolitan area (Cergy and La Défense), one in Singapore and one in Morocco (Rabat). It offers bachelor and graduate level training in business administration (GBBA, MSc, MBA, EMBA, Specialized Masters, PhD). ESSEC has a long tradition of exploring, teaching and researching how strategy and management may be mobilized to further the public good. With sustainability becoming central to the school strategy in 2020, as reflected in the recent launch of the Chairs in “Global Circular Economy” and “Talents for Ecological Transition”, this recruitment seeks to strengthen ESSEC’s faculty resources on this topic.

The Public and Private Policy Department comprises twelve permanent faculty members, together with six professors of management practice, with expertise, among others, in Social Innovation, Sustainability, Organizational Theory, Public Policy, Geopolitics, and Negotiation. It hosts, notably, an Urban Economics Chair, a Social Innovation Chair, a Philanthropy Chair, a Real Estate, and Sustainable Development Chair. The department has strong connections and collaborations with corporate, public, and non-profit partners on topics related to Urban Development, Sustainability, and Social Innovation.

Job description :

This position offers a stimulating research and teaching environment in the greater Paris area. The school offers competitive compensation package, including social and health benefits, research bonus, support for learning French (if desired), and relocation and housing assistance to its newly recruited faculty members. Rank of appointment and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
