We offer a post-doc position (60% work time) in strategic management to join the Chair of Strategic Management (Prof. Claudia Jonczyk) of the Institute of Management within the Faculty of Economics and Business on 1st August 2026.

The University of Neuchâtel has ~4’500 students who benefit from top-level academic trainings with excellent support. It is one of the most international universities in Switzerland, with about 100 nationalities present and a quarter of students coming from abroad. Ideally located between Geneva and Zürich, in the heart of Europe, it is a perfect place to undertake high-level research in an idyllic setting between lake and mountains.

Your Responsibilities
Research
• Collaborate on research project with the team.
• Publish findings in top-tier academic journals and present at international conferences.
• Assist in writing grant requests.
• Contribute to the visibility and reputation of the institute through scientific outreach and participation in academic networks.

Teaching
• Teach 6 ECTS per year related to (strategic) management (equivalent to 2 hours/week during the semester).
• Supervise bachelor and master theses.

Administration and service
• Contribute to institutional development.

We offer excellent conditions
• Salary: 94’000 to 99’000 CHF (1st to 3rd year) for someone employed at 100% (~104’000 to 109’000 EUR).
• Contract duration: 3 years (renewal after first and second year)

Profil recherché / Compétences requises

Your Profile
• PhD in Management, Behavioral Science, Economics or a related discipline (obtained no more than 3 years ago).
• Expertise in network studies and tools.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an academic environment.
• Teaching experience is an asset.
• Excellent command of English (oral and written), French and/or German is an asset.
• Strong publication potential (as demonstrated by publications or research in revisions).
