The Department of Entrepreneurship at ESCP Business School and the Improbable Chair in Art Thinking, supported by Galeries Lafayette, and the Department of Entrepreneurship at ESCP Business School are seeking a candidate with an international research profile and a genuine passion for art- based approaches to entrepreneurship, management, innovation, and pedagogy.

The Chair develops Art Thinking as a distinctive field of research and teaching. Art Thinking is a creative method inspired by artistic practices, designed to help individuals and organizations imagine improbable ideas with certainty. Its ambition is to equip leaders and learners with the ability to confront uncertainty, question dominant norms, and create alternative futures.

Joining ESCP means becoming part of a leading international business school, with a strong research community and a vibrant ecosystem. You will:

● Contribute to the growth of the Improbable Chair in partnership with Galeries Lafayette, positioning ESCP as a global and leading reference in Art Thinking.
● Shape and deliver executive education in Art Thinking, with opportunities for international development and impact.
● Teach to multiple ESCP programmes: Master, MSc, MBA, and Executive Education.
● Collaborate with an international and interdisciplinary faculty, including experts in entrepreneurship, innovation, management, and creative practices.
● Benefit from ESCP’s multi-campus model and strong ties with academic and professional networks worldwide.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to:

● Advancing the academic and pedagogical mission of the Improbable Chair, including the design and implementation of international partnerships with universities and schools worldwide.
● Cultivating an Art Thinking ecosystem of sponsors and supporters across the domains of business, art, and science.
● Teaching Improbable seminars, with a particular emphasis on executive education programs that engage managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders from diverse industries.
● Producing high-quality content on art thinking and art-based management, as well as on creativity, pedagogy, and the critical role of imagination in business and society. Candidates should demonstrate potential to publish in both practitioner-oriented outlets and leading international academic journals.

Profil recherché / Compétences requises

Requirements

● A Ph.D. in entrepreneurship, management, organization studies, arts & humanities, or a related field.
● A proven track record (or clear potential) of excellence in research, ideally demonstrated through publications in high-quality international journals.
● Experience and interest in teaching diverse student populations (e.g. Bachelor, Master, MBA, and especially executive education).
● A passion for developing innovative pedagogy and experiential learning formats at the intersection of art and management.
● Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across ESCP’s six campuses (Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid, Turin, Warsaw) and with external partners including universities, artists, institutions, and corporations.
● Ability to teach in English (French is an important asset but not mandatory).
