Management Stratégique et Organisation
ESCP Business School is a multi-accredited, international institution (AACSB, EQUIS, EFMD MBA, EFMD EMBA), boasting a rich history as Europe’s oldest business school. We welcome more than 11,000 students and 6,000 executives from 140 nationalities, offering them a wide range of general management and specialized programs. We recruit excellent academics who display a creative and international mindset, curiosity for organizational practices, and a willingness to develop and disseminate knowledge which sustainably impacts students, corporations and society. ESCP is proud to be named Business School of the Year 2025 by Poets & Quants.
In the Paris campus teaching and research activity at ESCP is conducted in both English and French. Strong proficiency in English is required and a good command of French is desirable for teaching.
The Management Department at ESCP Business School is a diverse, international group of scholars specialising in organisation studies, strategy, sociology of work, leadership and related fields. Our members draw on a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches and share a strong commitment to combining rigorous scholarship with societal impact. They regularly publish in leading international and national journals and actively contribute to the School’s research, teaching and outreach agenda. The Paris campus offers a stimulating and supportive environment, with strong links to ESCP’s research centres, doctoral programmes and a wide range of corporate and institutional partners.
The Management Department is hiring an Assistant / Associate Professor (tenure track) based on our Paris campus, starting September 2026.
The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate:
A strong research orientation. Publications in leading international journals (including FT listed journals). Articles in high-quality national and European journals will also be greatly valued. Candidates who have not yet published in international journals, but plan to do so, will also be valued. The publication trajectory should reflect both academic excellence and a capacity to generate significant impact within local and European economic spheres. Active involvement in dissemination and outreach activities (e.g., conferences, interviews, media contributions); prior visibility in the media would be strongly valued.
Proven pedagogical competencies or clear potential, encompassing teaching excellence and curriculum innovation for diverse audiences (including degree, executive, and lifelong learning programs). Experience in the design and management of educational programs would be a plus.
Excellent command of English (our operational language). French is highly advantageous on a daily basis (i.e. for teaching activity) as this role will be Paris-based.
A solid grounding in the social sciences, consistent with ESCP’s intellectual tradition. This underpins the School’s identity and visibility in academic and public arenas.
