Toulouse School of Management (TSM) is a public management school within Toulouse Capitole University, and offers diplomas in Bachelor, Master and Doctorate. EQUIS accredited, TSM aims to accelerate its international development, cultivate its excellence in research and offer reference educational methods to its students.
TSM-Research is a research centre whose mission is to create and disseminate high-level scientific knowledge in the main disciplines of management sciences: accounting-control-audit, finance, marketing, human resources management, and strategy. TSM-R has as coordinating entities the CNRS (UMR5303) and the University of Toulouse Capitole. The laboratory is today a reference in management sciences in France and one of the rare CNRS labs specifically dedicated to this disciplinary field (with GREGHEC at HEC Paris and DRM at Paris Dauphine-PSL University). TSM-R brings together around 50 permanent researchers and teachers/researchers, 5 administrative and technical staff as well as around fifty doctoral students.
Toulouse School of Management (TSM) invites applications for a Junior Professor Chair in Marketing. This is a tenure-track position with attractive conditions for young academics with a good research potential. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in marketing or a related field. The positioning of the CAPAI Chair (Consumer-Citizen Appropriation of AI) is about consumers and citizens’ interactions with AI-based technologies. This is a broad umbrella, and we welcome all kinds of approaches and application contexts.
This Junior Professor Chair is a tenure-track position. The position is for 3 to 6 years, and the Junior Professor benefits from:
At the end of the tenure, once the Junior professor has passed the tenure examination, he/she will be offered a permanent position as a full professor at Toulouse School of Management.
The CAPAI chair aims to develop an international research program on the appropriation of technological transformations resulting from Artificial Intelligence (AI) by citizens. It focuses on the societal and psychological issues of the diffusion of innovations derived from AI such as virtual assistants, connected objects, autonomous vehicles, digital applications (e-Health) and virtual reality. A variety of theoretical angles will be able to shed light on the factors and obstacles to the adoption of these technologies, their impact on the well-being of citizens and the ethical dilemmas posed by their diffusion. The project should favor behavioral and experimental approaches allowing the user’s experience to be observed in a situation through realistic simulations.
The chair is attached to the Marketing research team of TSM-Research but also involves collaborations with other teams of the laboratory (strategy, HR, finance, accounting-control-audit) as well as with other disciplines of the University (computer science, law, economics, political science).
Applicants should address their applications to Professor Sandra Laporte (sandra.laporte@tsm-education.fr) including a letter of interest, a current vita, a statement of research and teaching interests, three letters of reference, sample publications and/or working papers, and teaching evaluations, if applicable.
Applications received before October 30th, 2024, will be assured of full consideration; however, applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
